a co2 cylinder contains 425g of liquid co2, typically enough to produce 50–60 liters of sparkling water with your danskvand carbonator. this range may vary depending on how much carbonation you prefer – more fizz uses more co2, while lighter carbonation uses less.

you can increase carbonation up to the point where the water becomes saturated. you’ll know it’s saturated when a burst of bubbles fills the bottle for a few moments after releasing the button. to avoid wasting co2, try making shorter pumps when carbonating at higher levels.

cooling the water before carbonating can also help you achieve higher levels of carbonation.
